Linwood wallpaper office living room area green tropical palm trees

We have finished the new work / living area and I have written two posts about it – this being number one. It has made a huge improvement to my working day by adding this Linwood Rainforest Rabble in ‘Juniper’ wallpaper and moving my desk amongst other things. Now when I look up my view is the amazing print with palm trees, tropical birds and flowers or the view out to an abundance of nature – including the resident owls that we see twice a day.

I only wish I had done this sooner as it makes any time at the computer so much more enjoyable and looking out every now and then is certainly good for the soul. There are some trees that I’d never really noticed before and they really are stunning.

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post with Linwood.

It has taken ages to actually choose a wallpaper print but I have loved this for ages and even more so now it is up in our home. It’s based on an 1920’s archival document and part of Linwood’s Tango collection which I would love to see – I have used some other designs of theirs over the years and they are truly impressive on the eye.

This print comes in two other colour palettes being Candy which has a pink background and printed on a shimmering paper and Powder Blue which has a light blue / hint of grey to it. All are fantastic and highly recommend checking them all out.

On a practical level the wallpaper is ‘paste to wall’ which made it easier to put up… well, for Aidy who did it. Much less messy and straight forward to apply !

All of the hues in this wallpaper really compliment the neighbouring rooms and extend the flow throughout the house. You can see some teal, pinks, and deep greys – and of course the green. We painted the radiators and adjacent wall in Little Greene Sage Green and I made the blinds.

I am often putting together schemes for other homes which I absolutely love, so it was nice to spend a bit of time on our house too.

As the ceiling is quite low, we have stuck with wall lights. In the evening the warm glow against the Rainforest Rabble is stunning. Gives a lovely ambience and as this room becomes a relax and listen to music space later in the day, they do the job perfectly.

If you aren’t already aware, Linwood now stock their wallpapers directly on their own website along with some other products so it’s really easy to look through them all and order samples if you need to. I spend far too much time admiring them all but they really are incredible. Way up in my favourite companies for fabrics too.

Will be sharing the second post very soon about flooring –  with some very exciting news in between. Do check back soon and if you haven’t already then sign up to my newsletter as will be sharing more there too.
