Three stunning home for sale this month

kitchen in converted old chapel school

It’s always really enjoyable doing these beautiful homes for sale posts as it gives me the green light to be downright nosey, looking at properties online. As always there are some really stunning places for sale this month – not only for potential buyers but also give a bit of inspiration anyone thinking of doing up their current places.

Frome, Somerset.

To start with this month is The Old School Room in the West of the UK. It predates 1850, forms part of a Grade II listed Baptist Chapel and covers a pretty large 1577 square feet all on one level.

Open living with a home like this has several benefits before we even start on just how unique this property is anyway. It encourages a more communal way of living with more interaction and without lots of diving walls, helps hugely with natural light. The beauty also is that you could create your own divides, where you choose them using bookcases  – which also help to buffer noise. It’s also nice to think you can cook in the house without being shut away from everyone.

This place isn’t totally open plan obviously, just the Kitchen and reception area.

a hallway with a original headed chapel windows, two bedrooms, a bathroom and en – suite make up the rest of the home. With such interesting features such as the old fireplaces and nice little alcove areas it’s not difficult at all to find extra places for storage. The owners have made full use of these.

Especially like this bedroom where stye have painted the coving a bold gold. It’s amazing how touches like this can completely change the look of the room. In a place with such character anyway, it emphasises the high ceilings and adds a sense of cosiness. The parquet flooring is the icing on the cake.

The Old School Room is set in a quiet conservation area of Frome town. It’s on for sale at £595,000 with The Modern House.

South East London.

Aucoot Property for Sale

Okay, so this 4 bedroom apartment sold it for me with the views let alone the architecture and interior design. It’s in Tidemill Square.

You have views with head to toe windows of the Thames. For someone who loves the bustle of London but also likes to feel they are right near water and nature ( I know quite a lot of people who need to be ) this would be the dream.

Having black kitchen units defines it from the rest of the again open living area. I personally, really like the combination they have used for the brushed brass splash back wall. It’s a strong look and fantastic combination with marble also and wooden floors. The owners here have chosen a very, what is called ‘ Winter ‘ type of colour palette throughout which is lovely and luxurious. For anyone wanting to buy it, they could stick with it or have plenty of scope to put their own mark on it.

Along with an en – suite, the Master Bedroom has a walk in dressing room. I’m sold all over again. There is also underfloor heating in here as with all the bathrooms and bedrooms.

There are also a couple of balconies to this to really enjoy the atmosphere and relax.

It really is quite a huge home with at the end of a corridor leading to a self contained studio with more open plan living, dining, a bedroom and another bathroom. The bonus of something like this is it could be rented out or ideal for an older teenager.

As well as owning the most incredible pad, there are other positives, lift access, on site security, underground parking and in my opinion best of all some shared amenities as it part of Greenwich Peninsula Community which is free membership to a cinema, gym, nursery and places to eat.

All you need is £1,300,000 and you can move in. I’m currently saving up :) It’s with Aucoot who have lots of stunning homes to see.

Whitstable, Kent.

What first attracted me to this house for sale was the kitchen. It’s handmade and by Devol who I am a big fan of. But there’s so much more to look at. It has been refurbished to a really high standard.

The front entrance of this two storey home in Salts Close can be found in a secluded courtyard, making it nice and private. It’s very smart and the owners have used large pots to decorate, I think I would do the same.

Inside are absolutely stunning Moroccan hand crafted terracotta tiles. At first glance I thought they were parquet but no ! I would love to use these in a design soon. The mixture of the brick with the wood and marbles gives a very tactile finish. Adding some retro pieces of furniture to complete the downstairs. I love their taste.

Heading upstairs, they’ve definitely utilised space with built in wardrobe around the head of the bed. I do really like their use of colour throughout, light hues and just the right amount of them makes it friendly and very suited to a home five minutes walk from the sea.

There’s an outside space at the back too with large picture windows either end to show them off.

I’ve always wanted to go to Whitstable and even more so now I’ve seen this. If I was looking to buy, I’d be there in a flash.

Also on the market with The Modern House at £475,000 Freehold.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this months trio of rather special homes ? Let’s see what I can come up with for July. You can sign up for my newsletter if you’d like to in the right hand side of this post. Or follow me on instagram or Pinterest from some interior inspiration.
