Pootling and Pottering

This weekend, so far, has been all about pottering.

A month on and I am starting to get some energy back, but it is in short supply, so I decided to pop on to the Common near us and pick some blackberries to make an apple and blackberry loaf – found on the GoodFood website.

Andy had taken Mae to a Taekwondo exam ( she passed !! ) so I had a bit of time to pootle around the kitchen and take a few pics of things that actually probably need tidying up a bit ! Favourite tunes on in the background – It’s been ages since I heard it but fell in love with Here’s where the Story Ends by the Sundays, all over again. The nostalgia kicked in. :) Was there ever a better invention that Spotify ?

The Dahlias were from Mae, earlier in the week. She has a good eye for colour. I want them to last forever, they’re so beautiful. She’s such a sweetheart.

Anyway, the loaf turned out well and full of flavour – first attempt. I’d recommend giving it a go. Baking is the new running at the moment, I’m missing my trainers !

Just a cheeky reminder that if you fancy voting for me as  “Best Colour Inspiration Blog ” ( and you can also enter to win £50 worth of Virgin Experience vouchers too once you’ve voted ) – that it’s nearly time for the blogs to be shortlisted. You can vote for me here. Don’t delay .. do it today ! :)

Have a great Sunday and if you have any autumnal recipes to share, please do leave a comment. :) Would love to see them.
