Right, so the festive adverts are officially on television, so I feel can write about Christmas now without anyone gasping with horror. In fact, it’s not that far away. …
Which means thinking ahead a bit to some parties and events coming up over the next few months. It’s been ages since I put together some colourful outfits to show here on the blog, so I thought what better time to do it as I was also contacted by Lyst recently, who you may well already know of, but if you don’t – they are an online website who partner with the world’s greatest designers and stores to bring us fashion all in one place. Handy, eh ?
Well, I’ve had some fun putting together my Wish ‘ Lyst ‘ of favourite dresses and really excited to see lots of my favourite brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Maje , American Vintage … Stella McCartney as well as asos and highstreet shops too. Loads of colour inspiration for the eyes !
I absolutely love this style of dress ( 1, above ) by Sonial Rykiel. It’s timeless and silk. The tie is very vintage in style and the colour is perfect for getting in a festive mood. Red is all about love and radiance – so I think it’s perfect for this time of year. The earrings are by Kate Spade and come in a set of 3. They add the extra sparkle and then some black ankle boots by Hobbs and a matching clutch by Clare V to bring the outfit together. Like it ?
Oh, how I adore Mary Katrantzou. Her designs are always so cheerful, daring and creative. Did you know she started out designing interior prints but changed to fashion ? This Symbols Shift Dress is too cute. Perfect for Christmas Day. Teamed up with some Anglomania / Melissa heels and jewellery accessories. Earrings are from Kenneth Jay Lane and the cuff by Nadri.
Although I do love throwing lots of colours at most things .. Sometimes simple and understated is best. What do you think ?
Finally, this shade of blue is possibly my favourite colour of all time. It seems to suit everyone. The dress is by Jaeger. Drapes are very flattering and a high neck works well for my body shape. I found some other great styles too by this brand on the Lyst Site. As it’s quite a classic number, silver shiny accessories like this clutch from Kenzo and silver heeled pumps by Semilla will keep it feminine and a nice light outfit. The flower earrings by Bill Skinner were too pretty not to add to the ensemble.
Well, that’s my list all made up. If you want to take a over on the Lyst site, you will see lots of clothing and accessories for men and women. All you need to do is click on the items and they will take you to the store if you want to buy them.
Have a good one …
