My blogging has been a bit slack of late. Only because I have a new business in the pipe line that I am dying to tell you telll about – not long now and I can. It hasn’t stopped me Instagramming like crazy though – too many colourful moments not to be missed.
It was our beautiful daughter Mae’s 9th Birthday this weekend. She wanted a disco, so I made all of the girls an acrylic necklace to take home in a little fabric pouch tied with some ribbon. The charms were made by SV Charms at Etsy – I chose the design and the colours – and once they’d been cut, they were sent over for me to make in to jewellery. I really enjoyed it and hope the girls all loved finding them amongst their sweeties on the way home.
The party bags were from Petra Boase at Not On The Highstreet. They came as a mixed selection with beach ball stickers – couldn’t resist them.
Mae wore her new Papaya Jumpsuit from Monsoon. You can see it here, strewn across the chair – a bright fruity affair with pineapples, flowers and birds. A girl after my own heart ! She had such a good time with her friends. Well worth every moment of preparation.
We went to see the movie ” Home ” recently and all fell in love with the alien called ” Oh “. So a themed cake was inevitable. Here is Mae sitting next to Oh having a picnic.. .. I’d like to say that I made this but it was actually by the very lovely Heidi from Cute Little Cupcakes. She made the amazing Wizard of Oz cake a while back too. So talented and so modest. Mae’s face was a picture when she was presented with it to blow out her candles. Pretty sure she made a wish.
I hope some of these links are helpful to you if you have a party underway. If you have any party ideas please do leave a comment.. or just say hi anyway ! I would love to hear from you.
Wishing you a lovely day. More blog posts on their way … :)
