Every month when my girls get their pocket money, we head for the local blott shop to stock up on their eraser collection. It’s one tradition that seems to have carried on from my childhood through to theirs. I remember swapping my rubbers at lunchtimes, a pencil case stuffed full of them – but they were no way as cool as they are now, so I really enjoy our regular visits – the sea of colours and quirky stationary. They spend ages looking at all the new designs.
You can imagine when the lovely people at blott got in touch to ask me to review their Chang Chang Memo Board and wipeable pens – that I was more than happy to. We all were ! Any excuse to fill the house with more Japanese inspiration.
The first thing I would say about this item is that it I was immediately impressed by the price ( £15 ) because apart from the style of the cute board, it is packaged well and the acrylic feels sturdy. The back has very strong adhesive velcro so that you can attach it to the wall if you wish.
Being a panda fan, I would naturally like the design and I think the size is perfect as it’s cute and not too obtrusive, and perfect for sticking to the inside of a cupboard too. It fits like a dream on our shelf. It is very easy to write on and the pens are clear. They need a really good shake before you use them but then work really well.
Overall, I would recommend this board and the pens ( which are £7 for 4 ).
blott has asked me to rate some aspects of the board out of 5. Excellent being 5 and 1 being poor…
Quality – 5.
Price – 5.
Practicality – 4.
Style – 4.
I’ve actually needed something like this for a while to remind me of what’s going on each day, ukelele lessons, swimming, Taekwondo … so it came just at the right time.
