My new best friend

Felt it was time, now that he has settled in here to introduce you to our new family addition.

This is Sandy ( formerly Andy but we can’t have two in the house ! ). He moved in with us just over a week ago and he’s a dreamboat.

We searched high and low for the right dog, it wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be. Had to be good with our kids of course. In the end, after feeling a little despondent one day I put a call out there into the twitter ether and a reply pinged back recommending Finding4EverHomes ( @NWDogRescue ) who are based in Derby but re – home all over the place. They do an incredible job, working tirelessly rescuing too – it’s shocking the way some people treat their pets, thank goodness for caring human being like these folk. Of course, some dogs obviously just get lost and aren’t micro chipped.

Bizarrely, as I looked at their timeline – I saw Sandy straight away. You know when you get that ” feeling ” that something is right. The lovely Andrea from Finding4EverHomes got straight back to me and after all the usual checks etc we had a call from her to say he was to be ours. :)

He has fitted right in. Quite a sensitive soul and we feel very honoured to have him. If you follow my instagram you will no doubt have seen a few pics this week. ;)

I can’t recommend this Rescue Centre enough if you’re ever looking to take on a dog. They also need donations for their constant vet care etc.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed hearing a bit more about Sandy. I’m currently trying to convince him that my mannequin isn’t a real person. So sweet !
